Email is the only support channel, and a human reads every message.

We're based in the Netherlands, so replies usually come during European daytime. If you don't hear back within five working days, check your spam folder and write again.

Reporting a bug

The more of this you include, the faster it gets fixed:

  1. Which game and version. The version number is in the game's settings or title screen.
  2. Your platform. Windows, Mac, Linux, Steam Deck, iPhone, iPad, Mac App Store, Apple Vision Pro, or browser (which browser).
  3. What you did, what you expected, what happened instead. Step by step if you can.
  4. A screenshot or a short recording. Worth more than any description.
  5. The log file, if the game crashed or froze. See Saves and logs for where to find it.

Common questions

The game won't start or crashes on launch

  • Steam: right-click the game → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files. Then update your graphics driver.
  • Windows: if Windows SmartScreen shows "unknown publisher", choose More info → Run anyway. Our builds are small independent releases; the warning is about our certificate, not about the file.
  • Mac: if macOS says the app "can't be opened", right-click (or Control-click) the app and choose Open once. After that it opens normally.
  • Linux: make sure the binary is executable (chmod +x) and that you have a working Vulkan or OpenGL 3.3 driver.
  • Still crashing? Send us the log file and your GPU model.

It runs slowly

Lower the resolution or window size in the game's settings, close browser tabs and other GPU-heavy apps, and make sure your laptop is using its dedicated graphics card rather than the integrated one. On Steam Deck, the 40 Hz frame limit gives a smoother result than 60 with drops. If it's still slow, tell us your hardware — a real performance bug is something we want to know about.

My progress is gone

Progress is saved on your device (and in Steam Cloud on Steam). The usual causes are switching to a different computer or account, reinstalling without Steam Cloud, or clearing browser data for a browser version. See Saves and logs; if the save file is there but the game doesn't see it, email us the file and we'll look.

The browser version doesn't load

Browser builds need WebGL 2 and a current version of Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari. Private-browsing modes, some ad blockers and "strict" tracking protection can block the files the game needs — try a normal window or allow the site. Progress in browser versions is stored by the browser itself, so a different browser or device starts fresh.

Controller and Steam Deck

Our games are designed for mouse and keyboard, and for touch on iPhone and iPad. Where a game supports a controller or has been checked on Steam Deck, its Steam page says so. On Steam Deck, the default community layout maps the mouse to the right trackpad, which works for all of our games.

Where can I suggest a feature?

Email us, or post in the game's Steam community hub. We read both; we can't promise every idea makes it in, but the good ones usually do.

  • Demo saves and the full game. Demo saves can be exported as a code from the demo's settings and imported into the full game the same way. The demo's own progress is not transferred automatically.
  • A machine isn't producing anything. A bonder waits until it has every input in the right ratio; a tube backs up when the next machine is busy. Both are the game working as intended — trace the line backwards from the black hole to find the bottleneck.
  • Browser vs. desktop. The browser demo runs on itch.io and saves in the browser. The Steam and downloadable versions save on your device (locations below).

  • I paid for the full game but it's locked again. Tap Restore purchases (on the unlock screen or in the game's settings) while signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with. This also brings the unlock to your other devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro) at no extra cost — one purchase covers all of them.
  • Where is my progress? Progress is stored on the device. Achievements and leaderboards go through Apple's Game Center; if you're signed in to Game Center, they follow your Apple Account.
  • Refund for the unlock. Purchases are made through Apple, so Apple handles refunds — see Refunds and purchases.
  • Hints, themes, offline. Hints are optional and can be turned off in Settings. Light and dark themes follow the system setting or can be fixed in Settings. Everything except Game Center works offline.

Saves and logs

Desktop versions keep saves, settings and the log file in the Godot user-data folder for the game. Paste the path into the address bar of Explorer or Finder (Finder: Go → Go to Folder):

  • Windows: %APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\<Game name>\
  • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Godot/app_userdata/<Game name>/
  • Linux / Steam Deck (desktop mode): ~/.local/share/godot/app_userdata/<Game name>/

The log is logs/godot.log inside that folder. Save files are the other files there; copying the whole folder is a complete backup. iPhone and iPad versions keep their data inside the app; deleting the app deletes the data, and there is nothing to back up separately beyond what Game Center holds. Browser versions save in the browser's storage for the site you played on.

Steam versions also use Steam Cloud where the game's Steam page lists it, which syncs the same files between your computers automatically.

Refunds and purchases

Every purchase goes through the store you bought from, so the store handles the refund. We don't take payments ourselves and can't refund directly, but if a store turns you down for a reason that's our fault (the game doesn't run on your hardware, for example), email us and we'll help make the case.

Accessibility

If something about a game is hard to read, hear or operate — text too small, colours too close, a control that can't be remapped — tell us. These are often small fixes and we would rather know. Our games don't rely on sound for anything essential, and none use flashing images that we're aware of; if you find one, report it as a bug.

Privacy

Our games don't collect any data from you: no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. The full privacy statement explains what the stores and platform features (Steam, Game Center) handle on their side.
